My work has always been influenced by the light and color of my environment. Scenes of daily life are vibrant, intense, changing constantly and reflect how I translate color and shapes. Light creates intricate, complex patterns with a wide range of colors and values. Light transforms the simplest objects into scenes of joy. Capturing the drama which unfolds before me is exciting and a mystery. Color and light redefine shapes on a table into something magnificent. Ordinary objects become an extraordinary part of a larger environment of colorful patterns. I enjoy images of seemingly chaotic compositions and discovering the clarity of it’s space. Views from a window or porch reveal the complexity of nature joining with man’s structural, linear world. There is drama on a canvass when capturing the simple energy in chaos.
